Culture shock

While the formidable tasks we have mentioned are all crucial tests, perhaps one of the most important is culture shock. Today, we are lucky to live in a ‘global village’, but many cultural values can be very different. If you are unprepared it easy to be homesick. Western education, family, friendship, food and drink, music, politics, religion, etiquette, manners, social issues can all be formidable for some students to grow accustomed to let alone master.
